The UCCONX geek event had national and international attractions scheduled, such as Eleven from “Stranger Things”, but disappointed

The promise was an event aimed at the loser public which brought together several pop culture attractions, including games, series, movies, comics and cosplay for five days in Sao Paulo. The experience of the conference of universal creators (UCCONX) was supposed to be a big party, but according to photos shared on social media on Wednesday 27, the event disappointed.
The images show large empty spaces in the Anhembi Complex, without the promised attractions and stands to the public who had to pay at least R $ 125 to attend the fair. The most expensive ticket was over BRL 5,000.
One of the promises for the event was the presence of actress Millie Bobby Brown, the Eleven of Stranger things. In an official note on Wednesday, the organization of the event said the star has Covid-19 and will not be able to travel to Brazil.
The event sold tickets specifically for a VIP meeting with the star, which cost no less than R $ 5,000. The organization said these tickets would be transferred to the meeting with another attraction, but said nothing about refunds.
Twitter users have compared UCCONX to the Fyre Festival, an event known for going wrong. Fyre was promoted by international celebrities in 2017, with packages costing up to $ 100,000 (about R $ 524.4,000 at current price). The party was a failure and even became a documentary Netflix.

other issues
The festival started getting attention before it even started. A few days ago reports emerged, mainly on Twitter, of people who claimed to have collaborated in the organization of the event and not to have received payment for the service provided. The organization of the event has been contacted to provide clarification, but has not yet taken a position on the complaint.
