The space will be wider and more modern to serve the community
The Embassy of Italy in Brasilia reported in a declaration that was implemented the process of purchasing the new headquarters of the Consulate General of Italy in Porto Alegre (11), whose law was formalized by the local console, Valerio Caruso.
“The acquisition of the new headquarters of the Consulate General is an important result that assigns our community to Rio Grande Do sul with a consulate until its centenary history”, celebrated the Italian ambassador to Brazil, Alessandro Cortese.
According to him, “this is an initiative that, in addition to improving consular services, sends a strong signal to strengthen relations between Italy and Brazil, in particular with the Gaucho state, just this year when we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian immigration to Rio Grande do Sul.”
According to the note, the new headquarters will have larger, modern and functional spaces to better meet the needs of the Italian community in the locality, while “strengthening the cultural and economic relationships between Italy and the Region”. .
