Atypical chronicle of adolescence …
Summer of 1998, out of town. Cassandre is 14 years old. His parents and his older brother at the small family palace note that his body has changed. Fortunately, Cassandre is passionate about horseback and joins, for holidays, a small riding center where it is accepted as a strange animal. He finds another normality that extracts his small weight from the family body that smokes it…
On April 2, Cassandre, the first feature film of Cassandre, filmmaker, Hellen Merlin, was surprised by a surprising trailer. Under its air, as a chronic of a light, even peaceful family, Cassandre really leaves the spectrum of almost obvious tension in these images.
Very quickly, the obvious proximity among these family members – at first glance quite ordinary – fractures and reveals its illusory character. More than a simple chronicle of adolescence, this review sets a tone for an attractive drama, which is guided by a feeling that a young episodic protagonist (Billy Blaine, who was identified by the animal kingdom).
… with an explosive distribution
Although these first pictures are built on dramatic violence crests, they also offer a review in the atypical family environment surrounded by Cassandre.
If the young girl’s older brother is portrayed by Florian Lessian (plus Belle la Vie), her mother’s role was played by the brilliant Zabu Brightman. Double named Caesar to make a crisis and state in the “Best Actor” category, he appears in the trail of this feature film as an oppressive and offensive mother figure with unusual and surprising traditions.

Finally, the General Administrator of Eric Ruf – Comédie -Française, who appeared in the cinema with three musketeers – was interpreted by a charismatic patriarch, who is clearly in love with the strategy and thinker games.
Are these first pictures crazy? Still until April 2 you have to wait to find Billy Blaine, Zabu Brightman, Eric Ruf and Florian Lessian Cassandre in your Cinema.
