We will go: Is the film inspired by a real story?

We will fly to the cinema this Wednesday, which is preceded by a beautiful revision tour and a good word (spectator 5 to 4.3).

For his first feature film, Annia Barux is interested in a delicate subject, suicide and end of life. As the young director was able to explain this on the day of promotion of the film, we dedicated our grandmother, of whom she was very close, and this story is inspired by the strong connection she had.

This project, which needed 7 years of hard work and gestation, is primarily a work of fiction, but the idea of which was caused by the desire of Annia Barrow to tell the story of her grandmother.

It was in response to

When I lost my grandmother, I was very close, I immediately wanted to write a feature film about her, but the movie’s axis has not yet appeared. .

Fiction to pay for a grandmother’s honor

When my friend, co -chair and producer I named Martin Darondo’s desire to finish the movie, a funeral and a family to otherwise observe the drama that I crossed, he encouraged me to do so and we started. (…)

My first desire was to shoot a road traveling on my grandmother, who made the choice of the last family trip rather than healing.

And add: “It was in response to what I was experiencing with my grandmother, because she had a tumor, she had a trivial ending in the hospital, and I was traumatized to see that this strong, autonomous woman, who was raised by her father alone, could end her life, was very dependent, and decreased.

With this movie I wanted to imagine another way

With this film I wanted to imagine another solution, and in this case, to understand what alternatives arose in our French system and a very cold relationship with our deaths. From there, I was interested in helping me with suicide, the subject that we often advised with my grandmother and with whom it was agreed – even if it did not approach the approach in this direction. The journey that I imagined Marie became the one who causes the chosen death.

Annia Barrows wanted her film to remain bright and funny, despite the gravity of the subject, so this is a very fictional approach.

G‘Is a comedy that reflects these moments of life. I know that it was important for me to translate the moments that I experienced, love tombs, absurd moments in hospitals. I remember that when my grandmother left, we made it a super fun ceremony. We were very bored, but I was trying to make fun of them, people laughing. Trying to make people laugh in a hard time, it’s very good. This is what we want to try to make people feel. No one wants to enjoy sadness. Sometimes he feels good sad. ”

On the C-team, Ea Barux added: “My grandmother was to choose freedom that she chose the end of her life, though she did not do it. Thanks to the magic of the movie theater, I decided to write the end of life more with its image.

Even if it is fiction, the film is inevitable public scale, and the issue will be opened at the end of life. It is also planned to submit the film to the National Assembly.

It would be a lie we would not see that we would go as a military film, because by writing, I was approaching the association with dignity of the right of death (ADMD) to confirm that I did not go from their reality. If it is a bit poetic, I especially did not want to think that suicide has helped the excellent opportunity, very affordable and easy, where great laughter disappears. I chose a neutral and modest tone, but I hope to discuss. The question will be: How to freely choose the end of your life?

We will be in theaters.
