Anthony and Joe Russo, known for the guidance of “Avengers: ultimatum”, are working on a new ambitious project: to build a high -tech production study that uses artificial intelligence (AI) in a creative way rather than being a threat to artists. That is, it would be a use “for good”. The information comes from Wall Street Journal.
The study, which aims to transform itself as a film, games and other content, is created, tries to use the IA as a tool to increase art, not to replace the artists.
This project was inspired, in part, by the work of the brothers in the film “The Electric State”, which, although criticized, brought reflections on the dangers and the impact of technology.
Unlike many studies that are afraid of the impact of the AI, the Russian brothers want to use it to simplify the creative process, focusing on “transmedia”, which allows the reuse of digital resources (such as 3D models) on different platforms, such as films, games and themed parks.
This approach can help reduce high production costs and allow greater flexibility. For this reason, talents are recruiting from companies such as Apple and Epic Games, including Donald Mustard, former creative director of “Fortnite” to help guide the new vision.
Use of Ai Manager in the cinema
Instead of working with companies outside the AI, Russian is developing technology internally, with a specific focus on how IA can be a creative tool. To this end, they hired Dominic Hughes, an Apple artificial intelligence expert, to guide the development team.
Despite his advanced artificial intelligence ideas, “the electrical state” was done without using any artificial intelligence technology, following traditional production methods.
The goal of the Russian brothers is to ensure that artists guide technological innovation, preventing companies from using the IA to replace content creators.
If they are successful, the IA will not be a threat to artists, but a tool to help them create works that touch the public, like robots that shiver spectators in their film.
