America Chavez has the power to cross multiverses – and the origin of this ability is unknown
The source of the powers of America Chavez at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is still a big mystery. Interpreter of the heroine who debuted in the franchise in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Xochitl Gomez commented if her origin could be related to some mutation, as happens with the X-Men.
During an interview with the journalist Josh Wildingaccording to information from the CBR, Gomez was asked if she would be interested in seeing the character as a mutant in the MCU. She liked the idea, but preferred to remain “open to anything” regarding the future of the heroine with powers to travel through multiverses.
“Yeah, I mean, I’m honestly open to anything. As long as we can see it… I think there’s a lot more to her and her story that we haven’t seen,” said the 16-year-old actress. “There are many layers in America, and I think there are some fun things to explore. I look forward to how we can explore things, and yes, that’s all I’m going to say.”
