On June 21, 2023, “The Flash” will mark Ben Affleck’s farewell to Batman in our theaters. But the actor is apparently reprising his role in “Aquaman 2,” which was scheduled for a few months earlier.
Ben Affleck is definitely not where we expect him to be in recent days. After being surprised at a video game store in Paris in the company of his new wife Jennifer Lopez, the actor would now be on the set of Aquaman 2. If these photos posted by Jason Momoa on Instagram are to be believed.
(“Bruce and Arthur reunited! I love you Ben, I’ve missed you. The Warner Bros. tour toured the exterior set and toasted us. Lots of great things to come with Aquaman 2.”)
As much as the actor speaks well of Bruce (Wayne) and Arthur (Carry) uniting their characters, the hypothesis about his Justice League partner courtesy can be ruled out. But it has to be just Ben Affleck’s cameo as principal photography for Aquaman 2, which was shot in January.
Does this mean the actor is back to ditching the Bat suit? Not at first. Because The Flash is still likely to mark his last appearance as Batman before Michael Keaton takes over, following the time paradoxes created by Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) where he alters the past. A feature film that was supposed to come out a few months before Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Things have changed since then, and James Wan’s film will now be seen before Andy Muschietti’s film, which has been pushed back to June 21, 2023. Therefore, it is possible that he will appear in Aquaman 2, contrary to the planned plans. which may also change.
For now, we remember that the upcoming feature film in our theaters on March 15 will feature Ben Affleck, probably to kick off a farewell tour.
And we note that he is wearing a Bruce Wayne costume in the photos posted by Jason Momoa. Which means we might not see him in Batman. Answer in March 2023.
