A report by the Australian “Seven News”, from Brisbane, revealed that “Godzilla vs Kong 2” will have a monster attack scene on a beach in Rio de Janeiro.

Pictures from the shoot were shown in the program, with beach volleyball scenes, coconut tent, umbrellas, many bathers, state lifeguards and police cars from the Rio de Janeiro police force. It is all very realistic, except for the size of the sandstrip, the buildings on the waterfront and the language spoken in the place: English. Production takes place on the Gold Coast beach on Australia’s east coast.

The footage records several extras playing carioca. In the report, the actors reveal that they were told to fight back and escape from a giant creature from the sea. Take a look below.

The first encounter of the Legendary and Warner monsters was also filmed in Australia in 2019.

According to Australian authorities, the new production will generate over $ 88 million in investment in the local economy and employ around 500 technicians and 750 local extras.

“Godzilla vs. Kong” grossed $ 468 million at the worldwide box office, although it was simultaneously streamed in the United States during the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic in March 2021.

The film can currently be seen on HBO Max.
