The Z generation is the most entrepreneurial in history: he underlined a survey conducted in 2023 by the leader website, specialized in leadership content in the business world. A thousand young people were listened to from 18 to 25 years. Of these, 93% adopted strategies to start their business. In addition, 82% of respondents said they feel more appropriate to pursue an entrepreneurial journey compared to a traditional career.

A good practical example of the study is the businessman by Minas Gerais Luís Parrela (25). He, who sold lemon, wand, suffered on the street and worked in costume, created with only 22 years of the media Dbout, a digital marketing agency specialized in the dental segment which in 2024 earned more than $ 5 mi. In addition, it still has two franchising clinics, with income of about $ 4 million per year.

Parrela says she was always very restless and she liked to solve the problems that many accepted or simply ignored. “While I attended the administration, I was hired as an intern for a dental clinic, to provide administrative and financial support. There, I started to know the pains of the sector, in particular the acquisition of customers and the management of the seasonality of patients throughout the year,” he says.

Over time, Luís has grown inside the clinic: in 2018 he was actually hired and in 2020 he took commercial and marketing supervision. “I had contacts with traditional marketing actions, such as the distribution of flyers and explore the nominations. But I realized that the scope of these initiatives was very small and I started thinking about alternatives to reduce this disclosure. I started studying digital marketing and test campaigns at the clinic,” he explains.

The result was practically immediate and the entrepreneur realized that he had found a way to solve a very common problem for dental clinics: to face the seasonality of customers. “It annoyed me the fact that in one month the agenda was crowded and in the other, practically empty. With the countryside, we started to balance this and an income has increased. With the success of the strategies, I decided to leave the clinic in 2021 and open the dbout,” says Luís.

In less than a year, the Parrela agency has won over 100 customers and accumulated cases. “On average, we increase 50% of revenues for clinics served with our working methodology, but we have cases of increases of over 100% of revenues through the countryside,” he says.

In parallel, Luís has invested in two orthodontic franchises two years ago, according to him, also giving credibility to the work developed by the agency. “A perhaps negative aspect of being so young is that many more owners of expert clinics are a little suspicious. Having both operations is a very strong topic to convince them that, despite the age, I have a solution that is not only a sales speech, but that offers results at the end,” he explains.

Over the course of these three and a half years, Dbout has recorded over 20 million dollars invested in paid traffic, with over 2 million patients sent to the treated clinics. During this period, Luís estimates that the agency has guaranteed over 50 million dollars for customers. “These are data that show that we are on the right way, but we cannot welcome ourselves. Social networks change continuously and we must reinvent ourselves daily to maintain our performances,” he says.
