Sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune neurological disease that affects the immune system and attacks healthy cells, as well as reaching the central nervous system. With the diagnosis, the former MTV started to perform the correct treatment to relieve the symptoms.
As part of the treatment, Carol makes therapy, exercise and uses hormones. It has more than 11 plants spread throughout the body. According to her, writing what she felt in a diary has contributed to alleviating the anxiety of waiting for the diagnosis.
“There are days when you cry, there are days when I smile and that diary has served for that. But after starting the treatment, I don’t feel anything else, it is as if the disease no longer existed. So it is important to look inside you, even if there are a few minutes in a bath or lunch. These outputs can be different for each of us, yet they are important for us to find each other”, he concluded.
