What are the top rated movies on AlloCiné based on press reviews as of January 5, 2022? Here are the top 10!*
Seven months have passed since January 1, 2022, and several films, not necessarily very famous, have been praised by the French press. In first place, Paul Thomas Anderson’s intimate novel Licorice Pizza is unanimous. It was narrowly overtaken by La Nuit du 12, Dominique Moll’s realistic thriller, with Bastien Bouillon and Bully Lanners in the two lead roles.
The rest of the rating includes several dramas (Tales of Accidents and Other Fantasy, Les Travaux et les Jours, The Souvenir and Vitalina Varela), as well as the thriller As Bestas, directed by Denis Menochetti, as well as the documentaries Cahiers noirs, Et. j’ likes rage and Soy Libre. So many performances brilliantly leave a lot to be desired, both aesthetically and script-wise.
* Based on AlloCiné panel press reviews as of Friday, July 29, 2022 for films released between January 5 and July 27 with a minimum 10 press rating.
