Film started to be shot in Spain and marks the reunion of the two actors after Blow and Pirates of the Caribbean
THE Lionsgateannounced on Monday (14) the beginning of filming Day Drinkernew feature starring Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and MADELYN CLINE. Production is being run in Spain under the direction of Marc Webbfrom 500 days with her and live action Snowwitfrom Disney.
The film is the first production with Depp’s active participation in the cast, after its controversial divorce with the actress Amber Heard.
In the plot, Depp plays a mysterious guest aboard a private yacht. There, he crosses paths with a bartender lived by Cline (Glass Onion), and the two end up getting involved with a criminal figure played by Penelope Cruz. According to the official synopsis, the characters “end up connected in ways no one could predict.”


The cast also has Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto and Anika boyle.
The film marks the fourth collaboration between Depp and Penelope Cruz, who have already played together in Blow(2001), Caribbean pirates: sailing in mysterious waters(2011) and Murder in the East Express (2017).
“We are in a beautiful location with a fantastic team and a fierce story to tell. It will be fun,” said the director Marc Webb (via Variety).
Day Drinker It is produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee (from the franchise John Wick), in addition to ADAM KOLBRENNER (Free Guy, Prisoners) and Zach Deanwhich also signs the original script. Executive production is from 30westwith involvement of names like Dan Friedkin, MICAH GREEN, Jason Forman, Sam Sarkar and one’s own Webb.
There is still no premiere of debut for Day Drinker.
