David Bowie Documentary Gets Spectacular Trailer

Independent studio Neon has released a new trailer for “Moonage Daydream”, a documentary about David Bowie with unreleased footage from his career and an engaging proposal. And the images presented are nothing short of spectacular.

Described as a “cinematic odyssey,” the film is directed by Brett Morgen, who spent five years selecting footage from Bowie’s personal collection.

With the title of a song from the album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” (1972), the documentary is Morgan’s third musical work, who previously made “Crossfire Hurricane” (2012) on the tour of the Rolling Stones 50 years and “Cobain: Montage of Heck” (2015) on the leader of Nirvana – as well as being nominated for an Oscar for boxing documentary “On the Ropes” (1999).

The film had its world premiere in a gala session at the Cannes Film Festival, when it received enthusiastic applause and rave reviews, also mentioned in the new preview.

One of the most popular music documentaries on Rotten Tomatoes (93%), “Moonage Daydream” will be released in theaters and IMAX on September 15 in Brazil, the day before its US release. Shortly thereafter, it will be streamed on HBO Max.
