The White House reported Friday who will accelerate the license of 10 mineral projects in the United States as part of the initiative of President Donald Trump to expand the production of essential minerals.
The projects – which would provide copper, antimony and other minerals – received the rapid -41 status, a federal initiative launched in 2015 to accelerate the essential approvals of the infrastructure. The White House said it will add more projects.
The first 10 are listed on a Federal Site in the United States, in which the progress of their licenses can be publicly accompanied, part of what the Trump government calls increase for greater transparency and faster licenses.
“This transparency leads to greater responsibility, guaranteeing a more efficient process,” said the White House in a note.
This week, Trump has ordered an investigation into possible new rates on all imports of American essential minerals, a great escalation in his controversy with global commercial partners and an attempt to press pressure on China, leader of the sector.
