Andor postponed: the Star Wars series will not be released in August on Disney+!

Bad news for Star Wars fans. Originally scheduled to air on August 31st, the new series of Andor finally arrives a few weeks late on Disney+, with three episodes airing starting September 21st.

A prequel to Rogue One, the series follows the adventures of smuggler Cassian Andor before he joins the Rebellion and takes part in a suicide mission led by Jyn Erso to the planet Scarif to steal the plans for the Black Star. . Diego Luna returns as Andor, while other big names from the franchise return, such as Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera) and Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma).

This sudden postponement of the series can be explained by the opening of two event series at the beginning of the school year, House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power, prequels to the Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings universes, respectively. To compensate for this date change, the Disney+ platform has still released a new trailer for the series, which you can check out above.

The first three episodes of Star Wars Andor (making the first season twelve episodes in total) will air exclusively on Disney+ starting September 21st.
