The Vatican announced, on Wednesday 23, that the coffin of Pope Francis will be closed next Friday, on 25, at 15h, Brasilia Time.

The rite will command Cardinal Carmelengo Kevin Farrell.

The closure will take place in the middle of the wake of the public, which will be closed at 19:00 on Friday, according to the Vatican program.

The visit began today, at 6 in the morning, in Brazil, at the Basilica of San Pedro, in the Vatican.

The visit can be made this Wednesday 23, until 19h, Brasilia. Thursday 24, and Friday 25, the visit will be allowed from 2h to 19h, also according to the time of Brazil.

At 4 in the morning, the body of Pope Francis was brought by Santa Marta House to the Basilica of San Pietro.

The funeral – with the presence of heads of state – was scheduled for Saturday 26, at 5 in the morning, time in Brazil – 10 hours in the Vatican. First, they will be three days of trail, with public visits to the body. Before the release for entry into the Basilica, a miles had already trained in the surroundings.

Inside the basilica, sacred water and incense were also used at the ceremony. So, around 5 in the morning, the word liturgy began.

After this phase, which was inside the basilica for the ceremony was, in small groups, near the coffin to greet Francis. They were from religious employees to Vatican.

Francisco died on Monday 21, at the age of 88. He suffered a stroke and had heart failure.
