From this Thursday, April 24, and until the next April 30, the first edition of European Film Festival IMOVisionwhich features 14 titles from countries such as Germany, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Switzerland and Ukraine, still unpublished in Brazil, but prestigious at major international festivals.

Among the highlights are Dreams (Sex Love)winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin 2025 Festival, and Emmanuellerereading the 1974 erotic classic directed by the French Audrey Diwan. The festival will also feature special sessions with the presence of some of the directors of the works. Check out the following selection:

  • Opening feature of the first edition of the event, Dreams (Sex Love)from the Norwegian Dag Johan Haugerudit is a drama about maturity and sexual discoveries that is part of the award -winning trilogy Fri, Love & Dreams.
  • Emmanuelledirected by the French Audrey Diwanis a rereading of the 1974 erotic classic and brings a heavy cast, which includes NoĆ©mie Merlant (Portrait of a young girl on fire), Naomi Watts (Dream City), Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things). In 2021, Diwan was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Festival for The event.
  • Known for successful titles as Run, lola, run (1998) and Perfume: The story of a killer (2006), the German Tom Tykwer it presents The lightwhich will have its second worldwide exhibition at the European Film Festival Imovision, after its debut at the 2025 Berlin Festival.
  • Representing Greece, Apathy Syndromewinner of the Interfilm Award at the Venice Festival 2024, is directed by Alexandros Avranasfilmmaker awarded by Miss Violence (2013).
  • Italian cinema is present at the festival with Opera! – Song for an eclipsea modern version of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth with costume signed by Dolce & Gabbana and Palma Rossy (Women on the edge of a nerve attack) and Vincent Cassel (The hatred) In the cast.
  • Another representative of Italy is Anywhere, anytimesocial drama of Milad Tangshir selected for the Venice Festival 2024, which honors the classic Bicycle thieves (1948), from Vittorio de Sica.
