Before Arte performed the great classic Thelma & Louise last night, discover the present and future of two of the film’s actors, Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon.

In recent years, Davis has appeared on the smaller screen with The Exorcist (available on Prime Video), Grey’s Anatomy (Disney +) or GLOW (Netflix). In film, she starred in the action blockbuster Ava (also available on Netflix) and recently completed Fairyland, the story of a young woman reminiscing about her childhood with her gay father in San Francisco in the 70s and 80s.

Next up, Davis will star in Cowgirl’s Last Ride as a troubled but still rebellious Texan who escapes from a nursing home to live out the rest of her life as she sees fit. A pitch reminiscent of one of Thelma and Louise’s themes.

After she shared the poster with Geena Davis, Susan Sarandon won the Academy Award for Best Actress opposite Sean Penn in The Last Ride (1995), a film currently on OCS.
Recently, the actor starred in the Ray Donovan series (Season 5 and 6) as a Hollywood studio head and media expert (available on myCANAL). She returned to film with Blackbird, released in 2019, in which she played an ailing mother reuniting her family for the last time.

Susan Sarandon
On all fronts, often for supporting roles, she tours a lot and has 4 projects ready: a comedy in which two friends attend the surprise wedding of their childhood friend (Fairytale Four), a biopic about the writer John Kennedy Tully, in which she plays the mother of the character played by Thomas Mann And in the drama Tunnels, the grandmother of the perpetrator of the school massacre befriends the brother of one of the victims.
As for the upcoming feature films hitting our screens, the actor will next be seen in the DC Comics-inspired superhero flick Blue Beetle, slated to hit theaters in August 2023. He will interpret the supervillain Victoria Kord against Xolo MaridueƱaen Blue Beetle (Parenthood, Cobra Kai).
Comfortable in all genres, he also directed a comedy called Maybe I Do, the plot of which is still a mystery, in which he answers to Emma Roberts and Richard Gere, whom he discovers on Arbitration and Shall We Dance?.
