“Your reactions have strengthened me”: After the success of sinners, the director publishes a sad letter to the viewer

This is the best start for a terrible original movie since 2019. Along with the sinners, director Ryan Kogler (Creed, Black Panther) writes a new success. In the United States, Michael b. Jordan’s feature film collects $ 48 million on the weekends, more than half of its budget – 90 million – and these figures are just growing.

The success of sinners in France is also very real. Only on the weekends did the film attract 250,000 curious people in 379 cinema. This is more than Jordan Pel – 242,000 in 2019.

A film that combines genres

In sinners, twin brothers – interpretation of Michael b. Jordan – opens the Blues Club at Mississippi 1930 before the opening evening, vampires attracted by music. Ryan Kogler offers a wonderful blend between the terrible, musical and historical film inspired by African-American culture.

It does not weaken the movie and many viewers share their enthusiasm on social networks. Being faced with this great success, the director spoke through the letter to thank the public for moving into the rooms.

I had a chance to make an inspired film of my family and my origin, but we always wanted to do it for the public, in the building. We have always thought about you, the community, and we felt deep responsibility to entertain and move you as the only movie theater can do.“

We cannot do what we do if you do not respond to theaters.

With regard to the strength of the movie theater and the power of collective experience, the film director continues: “I believe in cinema. I believe in theatrical experience. I believe that this is a necessary pillar of society. That is why my colleagues and I have dedicated these many lives to this. We cannot do what we do if you are not responding to theaters … Your reaction to the film has strengthened me, as well as many others who believe in this art.“

During the separation, sinners received the average press from 5 to 3.4 and the viewer’s note from 5 to 5.
