The “Andor” series, a prequel to “Rogue One” and part of the “Star Wars” universe, won an official trailer and had a delayed release.
Cassian Andor will make his journey at the beginning of the rebellion, in the years preceding the acclaimed film “Rogue One”, told in “Andor”, a series starring Diego Luna, which has just won an official trailer.
In addition to showing several unreleased scenes and introducing the plot of the series, the trailer for “Andor” formalizes the rumors about the participation of Forest Whitaker, who will reprise the role of the resistance warrior Saw Guerrera, presented in “Rogue One”.

As for the series premiere date, the initial prediction was that it would arrive at the end of August, but a three-episode premiere has been announced, coming on September 21st. In all, the series will have 12 episodes, which will premiere weekly, like other Star Wars series on Disney +.
Described as “a new perspective on the Star Wars galaxy,” it will focus on Cassian Andor’s “journey of discovering the difference it can make. The series tells the story of the growing rebellion against the Empire and the involvement of people and planets. It is an era full of danger, deception and intrigue, in which Cassian will embark on the path destined to transform him into a rebellious hero.
In addition to Luna, the cast of “Andor” includes Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. The series features Tony Gilroy as creator and showrunner, and Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan as executive producers.
The first three episodes of “Andor” arrive exclusively on Disney + on September 21st.
