The final confrontation
In the final act of “Sinner”, Juke Joint (informal music and a dance club created by and for the African American community) undergoes an invasion of the horde of vampires led by Remmick, a former land of land in the region.
Chaos is deposited. Smoke (Michael B. Jordan) must make painful decisions: he kills his former partner Annie after he became a vampire, keeping the promise that neither of the two would become a night creature.
In the meantime, his brother Stacke also turns his brother Stacke. Pearline, the maternal figure of the group, is gripped and dies, while Delta Slim sacrifices to protect Sammie, the young and promising musician.

The battles that define the fate of the characters
The struggle is divided into two great clashes:
Vampire
Sammie, being a great musician, has the ability to connect with spirits – and it is exactly this ability that Renmick wants for himself. Therefore, he focuses his attack on Sammie. During the clash, Renmick can almost turn it into a vampire.
However, smoking appears and saves him. Use the Sammie guitar to pierce the chest of the villain, behaving like a wooden pole, which kills it. With the dawn, the remaining vampires die, incinerated by sunlight.

Ku Klux Klan
Shortly after the end of the supernatural threat, the real historical horror comes into play. Ku Klux Klan, led by Hogwood, invades the place to destroy Juke joint and annihilate any black resistance. Smoking faces racists alone and eliminates, but boring serious injuries in the process.
In his last moments of life, he has a peaceful vision of Annie and the deceased daughter of the couple. The cigarette he erases before keeping his daughter symbolizes the end of his cycle of pain, violence and guilt.
