Actor resumes humor in series with Tina Fey and film by the creator of Succession
Steve Carell Returns to the center of attention in May with two releases that mark their return to comedies, after a period dedicated to dramas and copyright projects. Known worldwide as Michael Scott of The Office(2005-2013), the actor star in the series The four stations of the yearwhich opens on May 1st at Netflixand the movie Mountainwith launch scheduled for May 31 in Max.
Inspired by the 1981 homonymous film, The four stations of the year gathers Steve Carell and Tina Fey as part of a group of three couples who are annually on seasonal trips. Production mixes humor and melancholy, exploring complex relationships and themes such as maturity, loyalty and life cycles.
In Maxthe highlight is Mountaindirected comedy and scripted by Jesse Armstrongcreator of Succcession (2018-2023). In the film, Carell plays an eccentric billionaire who, in the midst of an international crisis, takes refuge with other tycoons in an alpine retreat. The cast also has Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith and Ramy Youssef. Production stands out for the satirical approach to the technological and economic elite, maintaining the scathing tone that marked Armstrong’s previous work.
“Four friends. A $ 371 billion assets. Zero regret,” the streaming announced by publicizing the teaser Mountain.
Production filming has recently been completed in Park City, Utah. In addition to the protagonists, they are confirmed in the cast Hadley Robinson, Andy Daly, Ali Kinkade, Daniel Oreskes, David Thompson, Amie mackenzie and Ava Kostia.
Mountain debut on May 31st at Max, while The four stations of the year arrives at Netflix on May 1st.
