Mark Meatary, 60 years old, is the current Prime Minister of Canada, but he is in office for only one month. He replaced Justin Trudeau.
The liberal party, by Mark Carnery and the former reproduction of Justin Trudeau, should win enough chairs in the country’s parliament to form a government, according to the projections of the Canadian public broadcaster CBC News on the elections of Monday (28/4).
Casary, 60 years old, is the current Prime Minister of Canada, but is in office for only one month.
He replaced Justin Trudeau after the former prime minister resigned in January. In March, Carry won with over 85% of the votes of the members of the liberal party to take on the role.
Monday evening, it has not yet been possible to say if the liberals will get most of the 343 controversial chairs or will have to form the government with other parties, according to the CBC.
However, the victory was considered an impressive reversal of political trend for the liberals, which were considered “dead and buried”. The research has demonstrated the conservative party for months with 20 points in front.
Now they have to get a fourth term below.
Who is Mark Carnery

For many in Canada (and in the United Kingdom), Carry is a well -known face. Previously he was governor of the central banks of Canada and England, acting in the first during the 2008 financial crisis and the second during Brexit.
He is the first prime minister from the north of the country, born in Fort Smith, in the territories of the North -ovest. He studied at the University of Harvard and then in Oxford, where he graduated in Economics.
Carryy is praised for his financial experience. He also adopted a firm position against the president of the United States Donald Trump, promising that Canada never becomes the 51st North American state.
However, transport is politically inexperienced. He has never been elected for a public office in Canada.
The economist launched himself as a candidate in January to replace Trudeau as the leader of the liberal party, in the running for leadership with other names, including Chrystia Freeland, former Minister Vice.
Despite the lack of experience in politics, his trajectory in the financial world and his reputation as an economic leader were decisive factors, analysts, to consolidate his candidacy.
“Canada will never be part of the United States”

Trudeau had faced a crisis of popularity, attributed to the increase in the cost of living and the migratory policies of its government.
However, the growth of nationalist sentiment in Canada, led by recent tensions with Washington, has strengthened the position of the liberals in front of the scheduled federal elections.
Trump’s commercial policies and his statements on Canada’s transformation in the 51st state of the United States caused a strong refusal among the Canadian population.
This was reflected, for example, in the anthem bobra of us in sporting events such as NHL and NBA games, while many Canadians have canceled travel in the United States and have reduced the consumption of US products.
“These are dark days, caused by a country where we can no longer trust us,” Carry said in his speech, underlining the need to “work together in difficult days to come”.
More specifically, on the commercial war with the United States, he said: “We do not ask for this struggle, but the Canadians are always ready when the others surrender”.
“In trade, as in hockey, Canada will win,” he added, in reference to a recent game of this sport in which the Canadian team defeated that of the United States.
The new liberal leader said that the Americans “want our resources, our water, our land, our country” and ensured that “if they were successful, they would have destroyed our way of living”.
“Canada will never be part of the United States,” he said.

This is an impressive reversal of political trend for liberals, although it is not yet clear if they will be able to guarantee a majority government.
Just a few months ago, the liberals were considered “dead and buried”. Now they walk towards a fourth mandate to power, led by the collapse of the votes in the left party NDP and Bloc Quebécois.
This victory occurred after a series of shocks at the beginning of this year that shook the Canadian political scenario: the resignation of Justin Trudeau, the ascent of transport to the Prime Minister and the return of Donald Trump to the White House, accompanied by threats and rates.
Trudeau’s extremely unpopular departure was the first turning point to the liberals, who had been behind the conservatories in the polls for about 20 percentage points for months.
With Trump again to the White House, the main demand in the elections is no longer the story of the liberals and became the best leader to guide Canada for the approach of the economic storm.
Carryy and his team knew how to enjoy the moment, leading a cautious favorite campaign and focusing his message around Trump.
This will be a bitter defeat for conservatives, who a few months ago seemed to have a clear way for the victory and now will have to find a new strategy after a series of electoral defeats.
