At the end of June, for 13 days, 13 nights is one of the most ambitious French films of the year, but it is also one of the most surprising, as it is interested in a well -known public story: the exilation of Afghan citizens, produced in August 2021, commander Muhammad Bida.
This high risk mission lasted 13 days – from August 17 to August 28 – in Afghanistan Kabul. Three thousand people were evacuated from the Taliban.
Including the French commander, Roshdi Zami portrays the lead role, surrounded by Lina Khudri, Kristof Monteness, Ian Tual, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Fatima Adoum. The film’s images enhance the VEIL’s ambitious project, which is very inspired by Catherine Bigellow Cinema (deminers, zero dark thirty).

The film’s synopsis presents itself as follows:
“Kabul, August 15, 2021. As American troops are preparing to leave the area, the Taliban forms the capital and shapes the power. In the midst of chaos, commander Muhammad Bida and his men ensure the security of the French Embassy, which is still open. In the trap, commander Bida decides to negotiate with the Taliban to make the last chance of a convoy, Eve, with the young Franco-Apsanian humanitarian help. Then starts against the racing clock to evacuate and escape the Kabul hell to the airport until it is too late.“
13 days, 13 nights Adapted from Mohammed Bida’s episodic and autobiographical novel. Behind this project, we meet the entire team of two components of the three musketeers. The film was staged by Alexander Duma’s adapted film director Martin Burbulon and made by Dimitri Ramam and Ardavan Safaee.
