In a recent interview with Varietyhowever, the actor revealed that he never watched the two productions in full, despite being the protagonist of both.
I know people don’t believe that, that I’ve never seen a full version of any of these movies — any Marvel movie, any other.” “And I don’t say I don’t watch it because I’m an intellectual. It’s just that there are very few things I watch. I start watching something and I think it’s great, but I have other things to do.”
Curiously, Keaton agreed to play the DC hero once more in the new movie The Flashwhich should debut in June 2023. In the production, the actor will live the classic Batman in a multiverse that retrieves its version of dark Knight. In this sense, the film is an adaptation of Ignition pointan arc of the comics in which Flash creates a mess in the timeline as he tries to stop his mother’s murder.
In an interview with Variety, Michael Keaton revealed that he decided to return to the Batman universe for a very specific reason:
It looked like fun. I was curious to know what it would be like after so many years. Not so much me doing it — obviously a little bit of it — but I was just curious about it, weirdly, socially.” “They [a DC] they have their own world of their own. So I like to look at him as an outsider.”
