Carlos Lupi (PDT) announced on Friday afternoon at the end, 2, his resignation from the position of Minister of Social Security, among the investigations of an alleged fraud regime at the National Institute of Social Security (IS).

In his declaration published on a social network, the politician said he had not been appointed and supported investigations from the beginning. He also stressed that he will follow “follow up close and collaborate with the government” in investigations.

Lupi had occupied the president of the minister since the beginning of the mandate of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT). In the past, he was also minister of work and employment at the Dilma Rousseff government (PT), between 2007 and 2011.
