Chicago police expands the intelligence unit in season 10 with the addition of a new regular series and receives a warm welcome from the other cast members. Benjamin Levy Aguilar, who debuted as Officer Torres in season 9, will be on board full time and Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos wasted no time sharing a hilarious behind-the-scenes photo of the three of them during a break from filming.
The long-running NBC series has begun production on the new season, and Halstead and Upton will apparently share at least one scene with agent Dante Torres at the start. All three are all smiling in the photo, which Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos posted on their respective Instagram accounts. Check out Soffer’s post and caption:
Tracy Spiridakos also said “Welcome” to her instagram post, in addition to “Season 10, here we come!” The three actors seem happy to be back at work for the new season, but less so Chicago police somehow it got a lot more fun during the hiatus, it’s probably safe to say they’re not channeling their characters into this photo. In general, there is really no reason to smile at PS crime scene!
So what about Upstead and Torres in season 10 where the three actors work together? Well, Torres’ strongest bond in the season 9 unit was with Halstead, although they didn’t complete the first episode of Benjamin Levy Aguilar (which you can review with a peacock subscription ) as close friends. However, it makes sense for them to work together, if this is one of Torres’ previous cases as part of the full-time team.
With Upton being present, I wonder if Torres is following them as one of the existing partnerships within intelligence. Alternatively, he could have been assigned as a partner to one of them, but separating them didn’t work. After all, pairing Upton with Rojas (whose absence remains to be explained ) didn’t exactly stop Upton and Halstead from joining forces in Season 7.
Based on a published photo by Marina Squerciati , who plays Kim Burgess, the rest of the team may be elsewhere. She shared a photo of her from BTS on set with Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek) and LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater), wearing their armor and also sporting much bigger smiles than the characters usually wear at work.
Basically, at this point, we can’t do much more than speculate about what Chicago police booked the start of season 10, aside from the return of Benjamin Levy Aguilar, and received a warm welcome from his new co-stars. Hopefully a sixth team member under Voight mixes things up and the even number means three sets of partners in season 10.
Moreover, another BTS moment shared by Marina Squerciati it just makes me hope that One Chicago will find a way to deliver crossover action this fall. All three shows will return the same week as their fellow Dick Wolf series, which this is good news for fans Right Yes FBI Shows as much as Chicago fire, Chicago policeYes Chicago Mediterranean. One Chicago will return on Wednesdays starting September 21 with Medicinal 20:00 Eastern time Stoplight at 9 p.m. ET, and PS at 10pm ET on NBC a the 2022 television release program .
