Petrobras takes on Monto LCD to modernize the Alemoa terminal


The work is done in the EPC model, where the Monto LCD consortium leads all the phases of the project. The company managers provide details on how the work is taking place and what characteristics will obtain Petrobras with the revitalization of the Alemoa terminal in Santos (SP)

The LCD Monto consortium was taken by Petrobras to perform the adequacy of the Alemoa terminal in Santos (SP). Specialized in complex works for industries in general, the Consortium coordinates all the phases of the initiative. This includes the processing of the executive project, construction, the assembly, renovation works, assisted operation and the supply of goods.




The project is implementing new structures, extensions and adjustments of existing structures, aiming for the operational improvement and safety of the conservation and fuel movement terminal.

“The expansion of the static ability and the segregation of operations in the delimited area, economically and compared to the environment, is in the expansion phase,” says Sandro Kozio, technical director of the LCD Monto consortium.

He explains that the project includes the implementation of new S-10 Diesel pumps and maritime fuel, ship enlargement, installation of the storage tank, new electricity sub-sets and existing electrical system adjustments, installation on staircase and weighing at home, among other improvements.

“The LCD Monto consortium works for technical solutions to be implemented efficiently, respecting consolidated budgets, as well as guaranteeing compliance with the safety and quality standards, also requested by Petrobras”, says Luciana Aguiar, superintendent of the contractual contracts of the LCD Monto consortium.

To achieve this, the company adopts an approach that gives priority to constant communication with Petrobras, with the aim of ensuring that all regular operations are maintained without interruption, add aguiar.

“In addition, we have implemented the work phases that minimize the impact on daily activities with the customer’s interface, with defined programs and the use of technologies that allow a soft transition,” says the professional.

According to Kozio, one of the characteristics that Petrobras has with the project is the increase in the logistical capacity of maritime fuel and diesel – something that consequently expands the operational capacity of the company. The technical director also states that the work meets the Company plan Petrobras 2025-2029.

It also underlines the generation of jobs provided by the project. “Monto LCD has a policy for the development of the local market and gives priority to taking resources in the region, generating jobs and moving the economy”.
