“Sex Education” loses the fourth cast member

Actress Rakhee Thakrar, who plays Professor Emily Sands on “Sex Education,” has confirmed that she is another victim in the attraction’s fourth season cast.

“I can’t really say why I left,” Thakrar said in an interview with the British newspaper Daily Star. “But I’m very proud of the show and I’m proud to have been a part of something so important. There’s nothing wrong with a little sex education.”

With this, Thakrar becomes the fourth member to leave production between Season 3 and Season 4.

Before her, three actresses had already confirmed that they would not be returning in the new episodes: Simone Ashley (interpreter of Olivia), Patricia Allison (Ola) and Tanya Reynolds (Lily).

The first to reveal the end of her participation was Ashley, for changing her priorities by joining “Bridgerton”. The others have fallen victim to the narrative directions of the production, which will undergo a major change in its 4th season.

The absences will be explained in the plot by the closing of the character school. After the end of Moordale High, they will be transferred to other institutions, where they will integrate with new characters. But not all of them will stick together.

“Sex Education” was renewed for its fourth season in September last year, but there is still no release date for the new episodes.
