The episode was on the unique bond they have formed when creating roles in the Broadway musical spring awakening and how this friendship continued in his work a Happiness Nowadays. This clip quickly went viral, with many Twitter users responding with memes about how “wild” Jamie Lee Curtis was at the time. Comes shortly after the actress appearance in The real housewives of Beverly Hills it also broke the internet. But while people on social media are supporting JLC to cast a shadow, it’s far from harmful if you really listen to the episode of Good friends with Jamie Lee Curtis.
Before this viral exchange between the three actors, Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff told Jamie Lee Curtis the story of one of the biggest quarrels of their long friendship. It was all related to the 2007 Tony Awards, where spring awakening and Groff received nominations, but Michele was notably turned down. Michele told the mocking story, saying:
We discussed why Jonathan was nominated for a Tony Award and I was not nominated for a Tony Award. And I was very angry, and it’s the eternal argument between the two of us that didn’t call me that morning. And he told me he called me. And I was very angry because I thought I would hear from him when I was not named. Although it was an incredible time and morning for him to be nominated for his first Tony Award. It really bothered me that he didn’t call me, even though he said he did.
Jonathan Groff confirmed this anecdote, joking about the debate that takes place once or twice a year between the couple.
