Conceived as a prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul did not delay its story for a few moments: in addition to the origin of Saul Goodman, then known by his real name Jimmy McGill, the series also allowed us to follow the adventure post. -The Breaking Bad character camped out by Bob Odenkirk is now hiding deep in Nebraska under a new identity: Gene Takavitch.
During a phone exchange with his ex-assistant Francesca in the 11th episode of the final season, the crooked lawyer learns that his ex-wife Kim Wexler is still alive, but clearly doesn’t want to reconnect with her, although we haven’t. He has yet to hear the exact content of their conversation.
This phone discussion also made it possible to lift the veil on a more secondary character, Huel, a small-time thug associated with Jimmy in the first seasons of Better Call Saul, but also in Breaking Bad.
DEA police officers Steven Gomez and Hank Schrader locked up the parent in the series finale, with the latter ordered to stay in the shelter and wait, his interrogation interrupted by an emergency mission of no return. None of the two characters are alive.
Many Breaking Bad fans have been wondering what happened to Huey and whether the latter left the hiding place. A follower of mileage rather than a cabin, the thug still ended up doing pretty well, as Francesca confirmed during her phone call with Jimmy/Sol/Jean.
Caught on false charges by the DEA, Huey eventually fled to his native New Orleans. However, it is not clear whether the latter has decided to stay out of trouble or whether he will continue his criminal activities. So it seems Huell is among the rare characters who made it out of this whole story alive!
Season six of Better Call Saul is now available to watch on Netflix; The final episode of the Breaking Bad prequel will air on the platform on August 16.
