‘Little loves’ by Celia Rico begins filming

Filming begins on the second feature film Celia Rico‘The little loveswhich will be released in 2023 by Bteam Pictures.

The director, who debuted with great success in 2018 with her debut film, ‘Journey to a Mother’s Room’, once again explores a story about the mother-daughter bond.

They accompany her leading the cast Maria Vazquez (‘Who kills with iron’, 2021) and Adriana Ozores (‘The Diner’, 2022). Who also joins Aymar Vega (‘Model 77’, 2022) giving life to Jonah.

The film tells the story of Teresa (Vázquez), a 42-year-old woman who changes her vacation plans to spend the summer with Ani, her mother (Ozores). Living together day and night after so many years will not be easy for either of them. However, the forced coexistence will also bring revealing moments for both.

In the words of Celia Rico: “I feel very fortunate to be able to shoot a second film and that María Vázquez and Adriana Ozores are the actresses who give life to my characters, two women, who belong to different generations and whose natures and moods are the protagonists of the summer they will spend together. “Little loves” is a film about the most everyday and mundane things that happen to us when we live with our mothers, but also about the most complex ones, those others that happen to us when we see ourselves reflected in them and look at our lives in the mirror of years.”

‘The little loves’ explores the relationships and bonds between two women from separate generations. Treating loneliness and love as central themes from the perspective of each of its protagonists.

The shoot will take place over 6 weeks in the Catalan towns of Begues, L’Ametlla de Merola, Sant Cugat de Sesgarrigues, Olesa de Bonesvalls, La Granada del Penedès, Navarcles, Barcelona; as well as in Madrid.

In charge of it and the rest of the production are ARCADIA MOTION PICTURES (Journey to a mother’s room), VIRACOCHA FILMS AIE in co-production with the French NOODLES PRODUCTION (one year one night).
