Eight years ago, this talented director could have been one of the senior … but this thriller crushed his career with excellent casting

Sometimes it is enough to spoil one mistake of a promising career: it was the case of Swedish director Thomas Alfedson, who, after great success, met with his famous Norwegian detective novel.

Six years later, when he was shining with a spy triller with La Taupe, the filmmaker was truly attacked by a new project in 2017: the adaptation of the novel Le Bonhomme de Snow, signed by Nordic Thriller’s star Jo Nessbe. Unfortunately, this attempt ended with serious commercial discontent.

In 2008, thanks to Morse, a low vampire film that became worldwide success, then Alfredson attracted the attention of the film industry.
