A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Thursday, August 4, 2022 [SPOILERS]

Desperate to learn the truth about Camille, Kevin decides to put a sleeping pill in Camille’s coffee. If the young man does not feel guilty when he drinks, he sticks to his plan. Once at the police station, Kevin transfers the files from Camille’s phone to her computer.

And she makes a startling discovery: Camille sent a blank text message to Cesar on October 15, 2021. Emma then remembers that this was the day that Cesar last saw her.

Early in the morning, Justin discovers that Matisse has painted him. For Basptiste, there is no doubt that his son realized that the young woman meant a lot to him, and that she also meant a lot to Mathis. That’s why she wanted to make it official to the little boy that they were moving in together.

If Justine gets the impression that things are moving too fast, Baptiste reassures her. However, this wonderful moment was interrupted by Commander Nebut’s call. He informs her that the fingerprint they took from the sea shell the day before matches someone in their case. Patrick asks Baptiste to find him at the police station.

After the commander explains that the footprints found belong to Olivier Jourdan, the guru of the sect. The only problem is that it is on an electronic wristband and did not reach the place where the fire started. Therefore, the police cannot arrest him because they do not have tangible evidence.

Baptiste, unable to stay there doing nothing, goes with Justine to Jourdan’s villa. A young man shoots the guru without his knowledge as he declares that fire does not destroy but cleanses and that these fires open the way to a better world. He also declares that these fires will increase and this is not a coincidence, but an expression of his will.

Bohr and Patrick need €15,000 in cash for Prune’s corner. They ask the help of the prosecutor Xavier Revel, who allows himself to convince two policemen, provided that there is a trace of money. He also advises them that after the case is closed, he does not want to see the child again at the police station.

Patrick and Boher arrange a meeting for Prune at the Mistral Bar. They give the young woman an envelope with money in it and sneak the spy into the bag. His movements are tracked on the phone so that he does not go to the production box at all.

A few hours later, Patrick and Boher are waiting for Prune downstairs. A young woman has packed her suitcase and is going to leave Marseille. Very surprised to see two fathers at the base of his building.

Prune claims that she had to leave immediately to train the shy little girl she had chosen. That’s when Patrick and Boher decide to reveal their true identities and arrest the young woman. Prun is accused of corruption and fraud.

While he admits that he should never have invented the bribery story to steal 15,000 euros from them, he goes on to claim that thanks to the film, they would have gotten that money back in no time. Prune swears to the two police officers that Raphael and Aurora are indeed the chosen ones, but they don’t want to believe it. However, Prune spoke the truth.

Yolande meets Mirta in the hotel lobby as she is about to leave. The latter is in a bit of a hurry, which Yolande is not interested in, who is convinced that Mirta has met a man. Despite her insistence, Luna’s mother does not reveal anything.

Myrta goes to the church to talk to Father Luke in confession. He notices very quickly that she is worried. The priest admits to him that he is worried because he has nothing about the homeless parishioner Nelson.

It portrays him as a fragile, generous person who is always ready to help. He is afraid that something has happened to him, but offices and ceremonies prevent him from looking for it.

Mirta decides to go in search of Nelson. He eventually finds her and explains that it was Luke who sent her. She offers to find him a place to shower and put on clean clothes, but he refuses to go home. Mirta assures him that she will take care of him.

She then takes him to a hotel, much to Akira’s dismay. A few hours later, Mirta finds Luke in the church. She thanks him for the gesture. Mirta tells him that with the help of this man, she managed to forget about cancer for a moment.
