The circuit is 13.6 km and combines high -speed sections, technical curves and urban parts, including an extract of the race at dawn, which makes the dispute even more demanding.

The greatest winner is Tom Kristensen, with nine triumphs. The Danish won in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2013, consolidating his dynasty and receiving the nickname “Mister Le Mans”.

No Brazilian has won the race so far. The best place was the second place, won by José Carlos Pace in 1973, Raul Boest in 1991, Lucas Di Grassi in 2014 e Bruno Senna in 2020.
