An amendment to the bill 2159/2021, which proposes changes in environmental licenses, can facilitate the deforestation of mature forests in the Atlantic forest. Other entities, such as the Pact for the restoration of the Atlantic Forest, also the climate observatory and the socio -ambiental institution (ISA) oppose the amendment.
