Palme d’Or in Cannes 2025: Who is Jafar Panahi, an Iranian film director for 14 years to leave the territory?

At the end of the 78th publication of the Cannes Film Festival, Jury Juliet Binoche chaired her palm d’Ul, that is, in 2025, the film of the simple Jafar Panah accident. Jafar Panahi, an Iranian director who returns from a long battle and always in battle

Born in 1960, Jafar Panahi, the son of the building artist, was born in Iran, in Iran, in the districts of Tehran. After studying the realization of Tehran Cinema and TV College, Jafar Panahi reaches several short and medium -sized films for his country television.

In 2010, Jafar Panahi was accused of propagating the Islamist Republic. Since then, Iranian justice has been sentenced to six years in prison for propaganda against the regime. An empty chair in his name is symbolically mounted next to the jury throughout the festival.
