‘Azzurre’ lifts the first shot together for 2 sets out of 1
Italian tennis players Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini raised the cup this Sunday (8) while the great doubles of Roland Garros doubles in Paris. “Azzurre” beat Serbia Aleksandra Krunic in the final and the Cazaque Anna Danilina Russo naturalized by 2 sets out of 1, with partial 6-4, 2-6 and 6-1. This is the sixth Grand Slam of Errani Paits and Paolini’s first.
Between smiles and tears, the two athletes got the compliments.

This is the second consecutive title of Errani and Paolini after International BNL of Italy, as well as having arrived for the second time the final at Roland Garros – last year played the title against the Czech Katerina Siniakova and the American Coco Gauff, but did not take the cup.
In the main circuit, the two Italians won seven titles, including Olympic gold in 2024 and four WTA 1000 titles.
In his career, Errani won 34 doubles in the WTA circuit, while Paolini won eight. Errani, in his tenth end of the women’s doubles in the majors, completed the Grand Slam with Roberta Vinci. Together, they won five trophies: Roland Garros 2012, US Open 2012, Australian Open 2013-14 and Wimbledon 2014. Therefore, Errani today took his sixth Grand Slam of couples, while Paolini won him for the first time. In this edition of Roland Garros, Errani also triumphed in mixed couples with Andrea Vavassori.
Paolini is the first to win the trophy in both specialties of Roland Garros since 2015, after the American Bethanie Mattek-Sands. He is currently the best tennis player in simple, to be in fourth place in the world ranking.
