Dark trailer brings together the cast and director of “Na Mira do Chefe”

Searchlight Pictures has released the poster and the first trailer of “The Banshees of Inisherin”, a dramatic film starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, and directed by Martin McDonagh, in a meeting between the protagonists and the director of the great “In the Eye of the boss “(2008)).

The preview features much of McDonagh’s signature dark humor, with fast-paced and disorienting dialogue. But the atmosphere gradually becomes more tense.

The plot takes place in 1923, around the time of the Irish Civil War, when an older boy (Gleeson) suddenly stops talking to his old friend (Farrell) on the fictional island of Inisherin, without giving him an explanation. The decision ends up having consequences for both of us.

The cast also includes Barry Keoghan (“The Eternals”) and Kerry Condon (“Better Call Saul”).

This is the first film directed by Martin McDonagh since he was nominated for an Oscar for “Three Billboards for a Murder” (2017).

“The Banshees of Inisherin” will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September and in US cinemas on 21 October. There are still no predictions for its release in Brazil.
