In an interview with the magazine Peoplethe director Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) explained the reason for the cut. According to him, the decision was made for narrative reasons. “This happens in every movie, you need to film more than you can use. There were two or three stories that ended up not entering the final version“, said the filmmaker.
Despite the cut, Kosinski praised Simone and left the doors open for future collaborations. “Simone is an amazing talent, an extraordinary actress, a fantastic singer. I would love to work with her again.“
About F1: The Movie
In the plot, Pitt He plays a former frustrated F1 pilot who gets a chance to return to the tracks for a new challenge. He will need to be the mentor of a young man, and rebel, colleague of the fictional team Apxgp.
