Actor reveals that he plunged into Marvel’s request in his way of playing Reed Richards
Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), the Reed Richards of Fantastic Four: First StepsMarvel’s new film from the Film Universe, confessed that he received a single studio request for his character version – and ended up taking the orientation too seriously.
In an interview with Vanity Fairthe actor said that Disney hired a dialect coach to teach the cast to talk to the call Mid-Atlantic Accenta classic accent that mixes British and American traits, very common among celebrities of the 1950s and 60s.
Paschal dived so hard in the proposal that it had to be “braked”For the team.“I got so well that they had to pull me and say, ‘Listen, talk more like yourself’”He recalled.“I had difficulty doing this because I was very immersed in the character. To me, that was a way to get in the paper completely.”
According to the actor, this detail is part of an unprecedented approach to the heroes group. “What they created is something we haven’t seen before.”
