The research indicates Bahia as a national reference among the clubs that have adopted the SAF model.
The Esportte Bahia club reached second place in the ranking of the most voted football clubs (SAF) in the country, according to a survey by the Atlasinttel Institute conducted between 20 and 25 June. The survey, which had 2,069 interviewees, was commissioned by GE.GLOBO and aimed to evaluate the perception of the Brazilians of SAF’s performance in football.
Tricolor Bahia got 9.8% of public preferences, behind only Botafogo, who led with leisure when he reached 33% of the mentions. The research also highlighted Cruzeiro, Fortaleza, Atletico-Mg and Vasco among the most mentioned Safs. The good performance of Bahia, inside and outside the four lines, was a direct reflection of the administration of the city group, which assumed the club in 2023.
Since then, Bahia has won the 2025 Bahian championship, has returned to play for Libertadores and broke significant brands in his career in the Brazilian championship. In addition to the results, the administration was praised by the commitment in the basic categories and by the governance model implemented.
The survey also studied the support of the SAF model among the fans. Of the participants, 45.1% approved this type of management, while 33.2% refuse and 21.7% proved to be neutral. Cruzeiro has the utmost approval among his fans, with 83.4%, followed by Fluminense. Flamengo and Palmeiras concentrate the highest refusal rates to the business model.
Atlasintel’s study also underlined the most remembered advantages of people in favor of Safs. These include the improvement of governance, the increase in investment capacity and long -term planning. On the other hand, the main fears involve the loss of the company’s identity and the excessive emphasis on financial objectives.
The research was conducted through the random digital recruitment methodology, which collects spontaneous networks of Netizen during their navigation. Clubs such as Red Bull Bragantino and Youth did not reach the minimum number of citations and were left out of the classification.
With second place in the ranking, Bahia appears as one of the most cited clubs positively among the country’s Safs. The result expresses the way part of the public realizes the effects of the new management on the recent performances of the club.
