Un Si Grand Soleil preview: Monday August 8, 2022 episode recap [SPOILERS]

Monday August 8th at Un si grand soleil…

It’s dark when Mark gets a call from a farm worker about his father’s arrest. While Louie tries to figure out what’s going on, Mark tells him that his grandfather was put in police custody after falsifying documents to get cash. In turn, Miriam contacts Claire in hopes of finding Jacques a good lawyer.

At the same time, Jacques admits to the facts of which he is accused. After reminding him that he faces 3 years in prison and a €45,000 fine for forgery and forgery, Elise asks Jacques if he has spoken to anyone about his intention to forge the contract. Although he quickly realizes that Leonor has reported him to the police, he remains silent.

During this time, Mark leaves Louis at the tennis club and meets Leonore, who he informs that Jacques is being held by the police. The latter then reveals to him that Jacques informed him of his intention to falsify the documents in order to save his company from bankruptcy. When Mark tries to find out why he didn’t tell her anything, Leonor snidely says that she has nothing to do with her father no longer trusting her. Moreover, he cannot but blame all this on Miriam. At nightfall, Jacques drives his car and calls his grandson. He then leaves her a voicemail telling her that he hopes she forgives him. Then Jacques unbuckled his seat belt, sped off and crashed into the wall.

It’s Elena’s last day in internal medicine. She may be happy, but the nurse can’t help but feel a pang in her heart. As they have breakfast together, Victor wonders if he should tell his daughter the truth about their story, but Helen doesn’t think it’s a good idea, especially since she risks falling out with Claire over it. Even if he knows the complexity of the situation, Victor prefers to talk quickly with his daughter, confident that the tension between them will eventually calm down.

Afterwards, Elena finds Victor and tells him that she had a fight with her daughter. When she asks herself to finish their story to avoid confusion, Victor points out to her that they have the right to live their story, no matter what Claire thinks about it. So he suggests that he move forward day by day until he accepts the situation.

In turn, Claire confides in Florent. With tears in her eyes, she says she’s starting to feel like everyone is against her. Exhausted, she even plans to break off her relationship with her father, but Florent strongly advises her against it. Convinced that their story won’t last, he urges his companion to get away while he waits.
