The Ukrainian security service claims to have killed agents who would kill a member of the Ukrainian espionage agency in the capital of the country. The actors of the Ukraine security service (SBU) killed people who, following the instructions of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), would have killed a colonel of the Ukrainian espionage agency.
In a message published on his Telegram channel, SBU explained that the special operation to find the assassins was personally led by the head of the Ukrainian security service, the lieutenant general Vasil Maliuk.
According to SBU, a Russian FSB agent and a Russian FSB combat group were sent in advance to Ukraine and three days ago a man and a woman shot the Ukrainian colonel.
Following the special Ukrainian operation, the hiding place of the Russian agents was discovered, who resisted the prison, according to SBU.
There was a shooting in which Russian agents “were eliminated,” added the Ukrainian security service.
Murder in the middle of the light of day
Thursday, the images of a security camera showed Ivan Voronych’s murder, which occurred around 9:00 am (local time).
The murder occurred shortly after the colonel left a building with bags. When he crossed a parking lot, the suspicion approached him and started shooting.
Such an attack in the day’s light is rare to Kiev, even after the war in Ukraine, which began after the Russian invasion in February 2022.
