Actress Anne Heche, who suffered a severe car accident and body burns on Friday (6/8) in Los Angeles, US, is intubated and in stable health, according to one of her reps. She crashed into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood at high speed, causing a fire.
“Anne is in stable condition at the moment,” says a statement released by her press officer. “Her family asks for your prayers and positive thoughts. We also ask that you respect her privacy during this difficult time.”
According to CNN, the actress is in intensive care, has severe burns and a long recovery. “She is lucky to be alive,” a source said.
His team and family are still trying to figure out what led to the accident.
The TMZ website has charted the actress’s journey and may have found the origin of it all. Witnesses reported that Heche was involved in an accident in a building’s garage shortly before crashing into the house. She crashed into a garage and when people got close, the actress sped up and fled the scene.
Security camera footage shows the vehicle Heche was driving traveling at high speed in the Mar Vista neighborhood, and only stopped when it collided head-on with a house, catching fire immediately.
The woman who lived in the affected house barely survived. The American CBS network showed that the vehicle went through the room where the woman was sitting.
Los Angeles firefighters said it took more than an hour to “access, confine and completely extinguish the flames within the severely damaged facility.”
Another video shows the completely destroyed vehicle being towed. Windows and doors are broken and one of the wheels is lost, such was the impact of the collision.
The 53-year-old actress has a long career in films and series, which began in the 1980s with the soap opera “Outro Mundo”. He starred in such films as “Donnie Brasco” (1997), “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997), the remake of “Psycho” (1998) and “Six Days, Seven Nights” (1998), in which he was Harrison Ford’s love interest. But from there, her film career was influenced, in a biased way, when she took over her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres.
Years later, she declared herself bisexual, when she became involved with a camera assistant and, later, with James Tupper, her love interest in the “Men in Trees” series, with whom she had a child.
