During a press conference after the 4-1 victory against Grêmio in Mineirão, Leonardo Jardim contacted the international scenario praising the participation of the Brazilian clubs in the last edition of the Club World Cup. The coach mentioned Fluminense, the opponent of Cruzeiro next Thursday (17), in Maracanã.
“I think we must be very honest with everyone. I think the teams that were in the World Cup were teams that well represented Brazil. These are teams that have a high level of performance, as some showed the semifinal of the World Cup,” said the commander.
Following, the Portuguese strengthened the merit of the national teams that contested the international competition. “These are teams that have many solutions, they are working in recent years. Some of the four has won four Libertadores, right? Won Fluminense, Won Botafogo, Won Palmeiras, won Flamengo,” he added.
