New Harry Potter’s first official picture but bad news for fans

In 2011, the page turned out to be Harry Potter’s Cinema and the relics of death part 2. In 2025 a new page opens. HBO MAX has just announced the capture of the Harry Potter series that will look at the magical work of JK Rowling.

The platform, which is exclusively issued by episodes, has used the opportunity to read the first official picture of the series, to know what we are waiting for. We can see Dominic McLaglin, a new magician with round glasses.

We understand why the teams have made a choice for a young actor to wear a new Harry Potter franchise. With her harmful smile and her light eyes, we are already imagining that Hogwarts 400 strikes with Hermione (Arabella Stanton) and Ron (Alastair).

But this statement is accompanied by bad news: HBO Max has announced the broadcast of the season 1 by 2027, and is no longer in 2026, as it was originally planned. A blow for the first hour fans who have been waiting for this moment since 2023. But unfortunately not surprisingly: between the molding phases, the preparation of the kit in the studios, the postproduction after shooting, this series of Harry Potter is a colossal project for the platform.

Other actors were announced in casting

The production also announced other actors received in the Harry Potter series: Rory Wilmot will be Neville Londubati, Amos Kittson Campra Dudley Dursley and Anton Lesser explains Garik Olivaneder. Finally, the actor Louisa Brail, who we love in Sherlock, was offered the role of Madame Bibin, Hogwarts’s flight teacher.

HBO Max also revealed that he hired Brazilian Adriano Goldman as a director of photography. The latter was especially worked on a wonderful Netflix crown program for which he obtained Primetime Emmy Award. Very good news that says we hope for a quality series.
