The ‘Ant-Man 3’ theory that suggests how the Fantastic Four could debut in the MCU

A full team debut.

‘The Fantastic Four’ They already have a confirmed release date, so they have started the rumors about how the team will debut in the MCU.

Marvel fans have been talking about it ever since the movie was confirmed at Comic-Con 2019, of course, but with a release set for November 2024, there’s a hint we’ll start getting hints at upcoming MCU releases.

And more intriguingly, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that ‘The Fantastic Four’ will not be an origin story, comparing it to how Spider-Man made his MCU debut in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. And that, as we all know, has continued with new deliveries starring Tom Holland (if yours is the wall-crawler, be sure to see the ranking with all the Spider-Man movies, from worst to best)

“A lot of people know this origin story. A lot of people know the basics. How do we take that and bring something that they’ve never seen before?” he said. “We have set the bar very high to bring that to the screen.”

So if their movie isn’t going to be an origin story, could we see them arrive in another MCU movie instead like Spidey did? A new theory from Reddit user Laugh_at_Warren suggests we may not have long to wait.

The theory maintains that the Fantastic Four will make their MCU debut in ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’.

“They will be a team of scientists that got lost/trapped/imprisoned in the Quantum Realm for a period of time. Scott, Hope and Cassie will save them as part of what happens in the movie”it reads.

“Then during one of the post-credits sceneswe will see one or more members of the Fantastic Four manifest their abilities for the first time.” Of course, if this is so, it will occupy the first places in the order of all Marvel post-credits scenes.

As a MCU theory, this holds up surprisingly well. We know that ‘Ant-Man 3’ will involve the Quantum Realm, and we’ve seen in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ that the Quantum Realm can give people powers if they’re there for a while, like Janet van Dyne did.

Also, if they were just ordinary scientists when they entered the Quantum Realm, this provides a practical solution to a common MCU complaint. Every time a new superhero is introduced, there is always talk of why they weren’t up against Thanos, Loki, or any of their villains.

If the Fantastic Four only become Fantastic after their time in the Quantum Realm, then it makes perfect sense that they aren’t helping out in any of the battles.

Yes, we know that Reed Richards already made his MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel’s most surreal sequel, but we didn’t see the rest of the team. Also, he was the Earth-838 version of Reed and not the Reed of the main MCU universe.

If this theory is also correct, then would be Reed’s version of Earth-616 in which he is an ordinary scientist, not the Earth-838 version, since he is dead. Of course, the multiverse opens up the option that the Fantastic Four we see in his movie are an established team from another universe.

That’s about as likely as the theory to avoid telling the hackneyed origin story. However, it would require some additional context as to where the Reed Richards and company are from Earth-616 because, as far as we can tell, every MCU universe has the same people, just they might take different trips.

Whether it’s a group of ordinary people or established superheroes, A Fantastic Four Appearance In ‘Ant-Man 3’ Makes A Lot Of Sense. After all, we know that the main villain is Kang the Conqueror and Kang is a regular foe of the Fantastic Four in the comics.

Kang appears to be Thanos from the Multiverse Saga.as evidenced by the title of the future ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’, so an early appearance by the Fantastic Four would really help Scott and company to start preparing for the fight.
