Amy Grant’s bicycle accident left her unconscious for nearly 10 minutes and left her with a concussion, but her team says her recovery is going well.
Grant was hospitalized on July 27 after collapsing while riding his bike with friends in Nashville.
“He’s making progress every day,” said a spokesperson for Grant. advertising panel on Sunday “As Vince announced during the Ryman shows, he had a concussion and needed a lot of time and rest to recover. When he hit the pit he was thrown off the bike and hit his head hard and was knocked out for about 10 minutes. [minutes] before being taken to hospital by ambulance. Every day he gets stronger and more alert/energetic. ”
Vince Gill, the singer’s husband, addressed Grant’s accident Saturday night during his four-night residency at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Gill welcomed the couple’s daughter, Corinna, onstage to sing “When My Amy Prays” for Grant; Corinna changed the lyrics to “When My Mother Prays”.
“Let’s play this song I wrote for my wife, Amy,” Gillis can be heard telling the audience in a video of the show shared on Grant’s Facebook page. “We haven’t done much, but because of his case and everything that’s happened, we’ve been thinking about him a lot. I thought how sweet his younger song would be that I wrote him.
