With such revenues and a moderate drop in attendance, the film is in the race to reach $200 million in revenue in the world. However, exceeding this symbolic threshold would allow him to break a record. Because it would be the first feature film of Paul Thomas Anderson’s career to do so.

A heavy loss for Warner Bros., but not exactly a failure for the studio
